Lin Zhi Ling


Name: Lin Zhi Ling (Ling Zhiling, Lin Chiling, Lin Chi Ling, Lam Chih Ling). Birth in Taiwan November 29, 1973 Lin Zhi Ling created a phenomenon in Taiwan; it took less than a year to make her the most talk about celebrity in worldwide Chinese community.













Lin Zhi Ling came from a strong family background. She left Taiwan when she was 15 and obtained her double major degree from Toronto University. Lin Zhi Ling started her entertainment career in modeling in 1999, started in catwalk and featured in various commercial ads, gradually gaining popularity among Taiwanese.











Chiling’s popularity however shot sky high in 2004 when she was rumored to be the girlfriend of Taiwanese heartthrob Jerry Yan, whom they work in the same modeling agency. The ‘Zhi Ling miracle’ was unstoppable since then, she appeared as ambassador for various products, started hosting TV show and gala events like Golden Horse Awards.












Lin Zhi Ling made international headlines in 2005 when she fell from a horse and suffered severe injury while filming for a commercial advertisement in China. The incident also created debates and controversies when Taiwan officials use president-like treatments for her, including a private jet to bring her back to Taiwan. It took Zhi Ling a few months to recover from her injury; her entertainment career however was not affected, and grew even stronger.

Linda Chung Ka-Yan (born 9 April 1984) was the 2004 Miss Chinese International Pageant winner and is now an actress with TVB in Hong Kong. She speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin.. She has appeared in many successful series including Best Bet (2007), Heart of Greed (2007) along with its indirect sequel Moonlight Resonance (2008), A Journey Called Life (2008), Legends of the Demigods (2008) and the upcoming grand production The Gem of Life.













Linda was born in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada. After graduating from Vancouver's Templeton Secondary School in 2002, Linda attended the University of British Columbia for a year. During that same year, Linda participated and won first place in a beauty-talent show hosted by Crystal Mall, an Asian mall located in Burnaby, British Columbia.













In 2003, Linda won the title of Miss Chinese Vancouver, along with three awards in the same event. In 2004, she joined Miss Chinese International, a beauty contest organized by TVB, and became the third Vancouverite in 4 years to win Miss Chinese International after Bernice Liu in 2001 and Shirley Zhou in 2002. The 1st and 2nd runner-up in the same year was Mandy Cho (Hong Kong) and Carlene Aguilar (Manila).













Linda made her acting debut in the series Virtues of Harmony II, the modern spin-off of the highly successful sitcom, Virtues of Harmony. Her role in Always Ready earned her the Most Improved Female Actress Award in 2006's TVB Anniversary Awards. Her role in the high-rating series, Heart of Greed, has been described as her breakthrough role and was nominated for TVB's "My Most Favorite Female Character Role". At the 41st TVB Anniversary Awards show, Linda was nominated and was top 5 in the "Best Actress" award for her successful role in A Journey Called Life. She was also nominated for "Most Favorite Female Character Role" Award for her role in Legend of the Demigods. After filming Heart Of Greed she was rumored dating her co-star Raymond Lam and to date their rumors continued because of their second collaboration in Moonlight Resonance again as a couple. Many people have tried hard to ask them if they were really dating but they always just smiles and changes the topic. During the filming of Moonlight Resonance they were caught eating the same sandwich and took extra care of each other while leaving other co-stars cold. At the birthday party of Moses Chan, Susanna Kwan, and herself, one of the other co-star Tavia Yeung forced Raymond to give Linda a birthday kiss. Under all of this pressure, Raymond did what he was asked to do and gave Linda a light kiss on the ear.

Michelle Ye Hot and Sexy Asian Star

Michelle Ye Xuan (born 14 February 1980 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China), also known as Michelle Yip Suen, is a Hong Kong television actress, after winning the Miss Chinese International competition in 1999.













Ye is fluent in Cantonese, English,and Mandarin. She migrated to the United States at age 11. She attended John Dewey High School where she ranked first of her class and won first place at the International Science and Engineering Fair in the Botany sector (1998). She was a scholarship student at Wellesley College, but left before graduating to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.












In July 1999, Ye accepted a contract offered by TVB after winning the Miss Chinese International competition. She had a number of leading roles in dramas such as, Eternal Happiness, Triumph in the Skies, and Lost in the Chamber of Love. Ye has worked as a host and MC. In 2004, she was TVB's on-site reporter at the Olympic Games in Athens. Additionally, she was the MC for a special mid-autumn evening broadcast on CCTV.













She left TVB in June 2005 and moved on to Rich & Famous one month after to get more exposure in the movie industry. Ye also starred in a few series with ATV, China Productions, and I-Cable. Ye published an autobiography titled Shang Shan Ruo Shui - Xuan Gong Lue in July 2006. Michelle Ye was originally 2nd runner up at the 1998 pageant, but the winner and 1st runner up did not want to compete in Hong Kong. She took over the crown and title. She later on represented New York at Miss Chinese International 1999 where she won.
