The 50 Hottest Women Of Tennis

When we did our 50 hottest female athletes of all time earlier this year, we quickly realized the sport with the deepest pool of female “talent” was definitely tennis. So it seemed obvious that we’d have to do another list, delving into the hundreds of gorgeous tennis players around the world to find the 50 hottest. Hope you enjoy!

50. Alize Cornet


Nationality: French
Career: Cornet is an 18 year old player out of Nice, France. She has one WTA title, and achieved a career high ranking of #17 earlier this summer. She’s only been a pro for about three years, and should be around for many years to come.

49. Brie Whitehead


Nationality: American
Career: Whitehead is the subject of some controversy, as she’s probably not really good enough to be pro, but her family is a well known tennis family and has a great deal of money, allowing Brie to travel around the world and hit up different events for which she qualifies. Her career record is just 2-29.

48. Tracy Austin


Nationality: American
Career: Austin was a top player in the 70’s, twice winning the US Open. She’s now one of the most recognizable tennis commentators in the world, frequently appearing on NBC and USA tennis coverage.

47. Bethanie Mattek


Nationality: American
Career: Mattek sometimes isn’t the fittest of players, but she still manages to qualify for our list pretty easily. Mattek probably attracts as much attention for her fashion sense as she does for her game, but she’s still a pretty solid player, with a career singles record of 175–135. She’s also a good doubles player, and has won four WTA doubles titles.

46. Anna Chakvetadze


Nationality: Russian
Career: Ever since Kournikova burst onto the scene it seems like there’s been a never ending stream of hot Russian tennis players, and you’ll see quite a few of them on this list. Chakvetadze is the first. She’s been ranked as high as #5 in the world, and holds a current ranking of 13th. She’s not won a grand slam as of yet, but she’s gone deep into all four, reaching the semi-finals of the US Open lin 2007, as well as the quarter-finals of the Australian and French Open. She advanced to the fourth round of Wimbledon earlier this year.

45. Karolina Sprem


Nationality: Croatian
Career: Sprem has won seven ITF tournaments, but she has struggled in recent years, dealing with injuries and coaching issues. Her best grand slam finish was her quarter-final at Wimbledon in 2004.

44. Gussie Moran


Nationality: American
Career: Gussie Moran is a pick looking towards the hotness of years past. She was the first female player to don a short skirt, and it’s thanks to her legacy that we get to watch female players today wearing next to nothing. So heres a salute to Gussie Moran for her groundbreaking fashion statements all the way back in the 1940’s.

43. Yung Jan Chan


Nationality: Chinese
Career: Yung Jan Chan is a relatively mediocre singles player, making her living more as a doubles specialist. She’s achieved a world rank of sixth in doubles, but has only gotten up to 50 in singles.

42. Meghann Shaughnessy


Nationality: American
Career: Shaughnessy has been a pro since 1996. She’s a strong all-around player, achieving rankings of 11th in singles, and fourth in doubles at various times in her career. She has one of the strongest serves in the world for a female. Niece of Boston sports columnist Dan Shaughnessy.

Career: Pierce is a hugely successful French-American player. She’s won two grand slam titles, the French and the Australian, as well as 18 WTA events and 2 ITF tournaments. Pierce is a rare female who continues to play well late into life. She’s currently 33 years old, and although currently dealing with injuries, she intends to return to the tour once fully healthy.

100 Celebrities Arrested For Drug Possession

20. Brad RenfroBrad Renfro
1998- He was arrested after he was pulled over in Tennessee because police found cocaine and marijuana in his pants and socks. Sadly, he died of an accidental heroin overdose in 2008.

19. Paul ReubensPaul Reubens
Better known by his character name “PeeWee Herman”, Reubens was arrested in 1971 for possession and then famously was arrested for indecent exposure in 1991. I still think of him every time I hear the song “Tequila.” (You know, the dance on the bar with the white platform shoes in “PeeWee’s Big Adventure.) Classic.

18. David Lee RothDavid Lee Roth
The singer who rocked the spandex while rocking out with Van Halen was arrested in 1993 in New York City’s Washington Square Park for buying pot from an undercover police officer. He later described his purchase as “$10 worth of Jamaican, bunk reefer maan” and became a punchline for late-night television.

2004- arrested for marijuana possession during a traffic stop, charges were dropped.

16. Carlos SantanaCarlos Santana
1991- The Grammy award winning guitar player was arrested at Houston Airport for transporting 5 grams of marijuana from Mexico.

15. Bon ScottBon Scott
The lead singer for AC/DC was on of the first Australian rockers to be charged with possession of marijuana in the late 60s.

14. Tupac ShakurTupac Shakur
The rapper got a lot of arrests under his belt in his short life, mostly for violence. His longest jail term was because of sexual abuse charges against him. While in jail, he was caught with marijuana and confined for 23 hours a day as punishment. He only stayed in jail for 11 months of his 1.5-4.5 year sentence and is the only artist to ever have an album at number one on the Billboard 200 while serving a prison sentence.

13. Charlie SheenCharlie Sheen
When the actor was 16, he was arrested for marijuana possession on his mother’s birthday. His parents bailed him out and his dad took him directly to church. The charges were dismissed and coincidentally the judge was a friend of the family.

12. Kimora Lee SimmonsKimora Lee Simmons
The fashionista was arrested during a traffic stop in 2004 and charged with marijuana possession and a few vehicular infractions.

11. Steve-OSteveO
2003- In Sweden, tried to smuggle weed in a condom and had to pay $6700 fine. 2005- He was seen leaving a club with a baggy of marijuana and was confronted by police but no attempts were made to arrest him. 2008- Went to rehab/psychiatric center.

10. Oliver StoneOliver Stone
The director was arrested and pleaded guilty in 1999 to drug possession and no contest to driving under the influence. His punishment was to go to rehab. In 2005, he was arrested in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

9. Thurman ThomasThurman Thomas
Buffalo Bills Player. 2004- arrested at a hotel because guests alerted police that they smelled marijuana and thought Thomas had drugs in his possession. They were right but geez was it necessary to be tattletales?

8. Peter TorkPeter Tork
A member of the band the Monkees, Tork struggled with drugs and alcohol and it led to his arrest and incarceration for several months in the early 70s.

7. Rob Van DamRob Van Dam
Another guy that rocks out the spandex, the wrestler got in trouble in 2006 for having 18 grams of marijuana and 5 Vicodin pills. The result was a $140 fine and a 30 day suspension from the WWE.

6. Marcus VickMarcus Vick
His name sounds familiar because his older brother Michael Vick got in trouble recently for dog fighting/mistreatment. This Vick was arrested in 2004 during a traffic stop for speeding, marijuana possession and contributing to the delinquency of minors. Quit it Vick. Let those minors become delinquents by themselves.

2002- Arrested for marijuana possession at a traffic stop.

4. Dionne WarwickDionne Warwick
The singer was held at the Miami International Airport in 2002 after a case containing 11 marijuana cigarettes was found in her carry on bag. Warwich was unsure how the marijuana got in her bag (listen to those annoying announcements at the airport and watch your luggage Dionne!) and the charges were dropped when she agreed to perform a series of public service announcements regarding illegal drugs.

3. Lil WayneLil Wayne
2006- Employees say they saw a gallon size bag of weed in his room but police report only came back with 60 pills of Alprazolama(used for anxiety disorders and panic attacks), 59 hydrocodone pills and two small burnt joints of marijuana. 2007- Charged with criminal possession of a weapon and marijuana when caught smoking by his bus. Also arrested in Atlanta for having marijuana, over 100 Xanax and hydrocodone pills. He failed to show up to court and an arrest warrant was issued even though he didn’t know it. January 2008- Arrested for having over 100 grams of marijuana, 29 grams of cocaine and 41 grams of ecstasy along with a pistol and tens of thousands in cash. He was released on a bail of $10,185.

2. Dawn WellsDawn Wells
Mary Ann from “Gilligan’s Island” was arrested in 2007 during a traffic stop when 4 partially consumed marijuana cigarettes and several containers of marijuana were found in her car. She failed the field sobriety test and was taken into custody. She was fined $410.50 and place on probation for six months. A five-day jail stay was suspended.

1. Amy WinehouseAmy Winehouse
2007- The year’s best trainwreck was arrested with her husband in Norway for marijuana possession and were released after paying a fine of 3850 kroner(around $800). She was supposedly “duped” into confessing but fluent English speakers handled the confession so it’s hard to say what she’s referring to. Winehouse was denied a U.S. visa because of “use and abuse of narcotics”, but was later issued one. Let’s leave her across the pond. She’s disturbing enough peace over there.
